The Rolling Ball: Mapping the Self-Image
Listed by the publisher as “self-image – kinesophics”
The lesson begins on the back, where students map the length of their limbs and spine mentally. Moving onto the stomach, they use the imagery of a weighted ball rolling along the surface of the body to refine their internal map. Finally, students use small movements of the arms and legs to physically roll the imagined ball along their back.
